Dr. Satish Shah, M.D.

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

M.B.B.S;  B.J. Medical College, Gujarat University, 

Ahmedabad, India: 1973-1980

Dr. Shah has earned degrees in Business Administration and Law, as well as Medicine. He received his M.D. degree in India,  During the course of his medical studies, he worked in the field of international trade, energy development and developed an interest in that field, as well as a keen sense of entrepreneurship. After immigrating to the U.S., he practiced his medical profession while engaging in a variety of business interests, including:

  • International trade;

  • Energy development;

  • Mining corporate startups; and

  • Project funding.

Dr. Shah is a visionary and a creative leader, who has the ability to surround himself with talented and dedicated individuals who he can mold into an efficient synergistic organization. As the promoter and CEO of Eastern Energy & Mines Limited, he has again assembled a team of capable and highly motivated executives.

For the last decade, Ms. Shah has been growing her portfolio in physical commodities within the agriculture, mining, and metals industry while focusing on project management. Ms. Shah joined EEML in 2010 after having worked in Business Development and Sales at the prestigious news and media outlet, New York Post, an affiliate of News Corporation (Fortune 500). EEML’s diverse portfolio in energy, mining, and commodities prompted Ms. Shah to join the company after the opening of their renewable energy and infrastructure division with the belief that it is our generation’s responsibility to revive the Earth to her deserved and quality state of well-being.

She brings her expertise in developing teams of project specific experts in all the divisions of EEML. Her focus is to assist EEML’s alliance partners globally to ensure that all projects are met with our core values of excellence, leadership, and teamwork.  By creating successful ventures, Ms. Shah wants to in return provide our international friends who are in need hope for a total energy for the future. 

Further, she has a keen interest in growing EEML’s humanitarian and philanthropic efforts in conjunction with many of the renewable and infrastructure projects in their pipeline. In addition, Ms. Shah is a member of the Board of Directors of LiveWell Foundation, a Philadelphia based non profit organization that provides free mental health support.

Joseph Battiato

Director of Business Development

For the last eight years Mr. Battiato has primarily been involved in the trading of physical commodities and project development.  As part of this process he has been responsible for contract negotiation and execution, logistical coordination and implementation as well as trade and project finance.  Prior to entering the commodities and project development arenas he spent eight years as a Portfolio Manager at one of  world's largest hedge funds that specializes in mortgage finance.  

For approximately twenty-five years before that time Mr. Battiato held high level positions at several leading Wall Street firms including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, D.L.J.  and Dean Witter.  As part of his responsibilities at these organizations he performed  a number  functions including but not limited to trading and trade desk supervision, oversight of structured finance, management of the sales force, research and the operations area.  Mr. Battiato is supported by a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Bachelor of Arts specializing in Accounting.

Hsieh, Li-Ying (Julie Hsieh)

Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific Region

Mrs. Hsieh oversees China and the Asian Pacific region and serves as the legal representative of EEML Hong Kong. With over ten years of experience in international commodities trading and financing,  she also has played a key role in negotiating and finalizing the commodities trade transactions for supplying metals and minerals with China state owned companies in conjunction with EEML-USA. Further, Mrs. Hsieh has successfully liaised with state owned China's Fortune 500 companies to join EEML as co-developers and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) as alliance partners for infrastructure project developments globally. Currently, she is actively working in procurement and supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and medical devices to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Mrs. Hsieh is an invaluable asset to EEML’s team and continues to grow important connections between the East and West.

Kenneth M. Johnston

Chief Operations Officer

Temple University, Fox School of Business, B.A.

Concentrations: Marketing and Economics

Mr. Johnston has worked with Dr. Shah on various projects in the fields of international trade, mining, and energy development. His main strengths and experience are with startups or acquisitions of companies.   He builds the necessary infrastructure and provides supervision and training of the teams to secure successful growth and positive futures for the various endeavors.

He is a strong believer in the green world movement and has owned or been part of the teams that built over twenty-five recycling companies specializing in Waste and construction/demolition debris.

Jose Luis Partida Sanchez

Executive Vice President, Mexico, Central & South Americas

Universidad Iberoamericana

Prior to joining EEML, Mr. Partida Sanchez has been a buyer and manager of several commodities, specializing in the marine industry culminating in the creation and development of a shrimp aquaculture farm in Mexico for the production of shrimp in brackish water. In 2012, he became involved in mining and structured a joint venture mining project in Peru and has started the commercialization of minerals abroad. With over 25 years experience in various commodities, Mr. Partida Sanchez is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English and has extensive connections in Latin America and uses his skills to coordinate the export of products around the world. Currently, Mr. Partida Sanchez is establishing a joint venture partnership with iron ore, manganese, copper and other metals mining and handling turn-key projects from mining, government liaison, and export. Further, he is partnering with major Mexican manufacturers for the development of healthcare and medical products for global marketing.

Jeffrey L. Blandon

Director of Business Procurement & Logistics

Transylvania University, 1984-1988, B.A. in Business Administration and Management

From 1990-1995, Mr. Blandon, a US Basketball High School All-American and a Transylvania University two-time MVP, played professional basketball in the Australian PBL for the Cessnock Cobras and the New South Wales (Tamworth) Thunderbolts. Further, he owned the Hunter Valley Pirates (2004-2007) in the Australian PBL. Mr. Blandon  was actively involved in the charitable foundation, Life Without Barriers as a sports coordinator between 1990 to 1999, which led to his own charitable foundation, Great Mates Foundation, formed in 2000. Great Mates was a mentor program for children in Australia. After retiring from sports, Mr. Blandon has many years of experience in private investments and as an entrepreneur. He brings his skills of organization and logistical coordination to EEML.

 

Finance

Geraint Morgan

Director of Finance

University of Portsmouth and the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Bordeaux, European Business Degree

Mr. Morgan embarked on a career as a Bank Officer in Private Banking for Merrill Lynch International Bank becoming Assistant Vice President within Credit Structuring. He worked in Private Banking as a Bank Officer for a number ofyears, then as a special transactions bank officer for more difficult credit, and as a credit structuring officer. Since leaving the banking industry, he has specialized in insurance, trade, corporate, and project finance. He brings a wealth of knowledge in negotiation, projects, and runs our financing and insurance programs.
